The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ambrose throws a leg kick which misses Hrolf 's front leg but catches the back leg as Hrolf tries to avoid it.
Hrolf scores with a nice strike.
Tallak Hrolf seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hrolf throws a half hearted mid kick.
Hrolf throws a lazy right hand but Ambrose sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Hrolf lands a left and a right that send Ambrose crashing to the mat, dazed. Hrolf thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Hrolf clinches with his opponent.
Oh Ambrose is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hrolf is working Ambrose over against the cage.
Ambrose lands a left hand that snaps the head of Hrolf backwards.
Ambrose seems to have got his legs back now.

Ambrose breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Ambrose, as that shot connected.

Ambrose wants to clinch up but Hrolf keeps it at a distance.

Hrolf shoots in and drives through. Ambrose sprawls well.
A little feinted left hand from Ambrose on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Hrolf has taken the fight to the clinch.
Hrolf can't find room to land a body shot as Ambrose controls the action.
Hrolf pushes Ambrose back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Ambrose walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Hrolf checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Hrolf throws a hook but Ambrose avoids it easily.
Ambrose appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Ambrose fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Hrolf checks it well.
Horrible takedown attempt by Hrolf or perhaps it was just good defense by Ambrose, which made it look bad.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that Curtly Ambrose will probably get the nod.

Ambrose's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Curtly Ambrose is winning the standup battle so far.
Hrolf goes for a double leg but Ambrose avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Ambrose continues to drive forward.
Ambrose clobbers Hrolf with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Ambrose here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Ambrose lands a big head kick that sends Hrolf tumbling to the mat! Ambrose takes a step backwards and waves Hrolf back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Tallak Hrolf has been cut.

I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Ambrose has cracked Hrolf with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Ambrose lands another huge swinging hook and Hrolf tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Hrolf , before Ambrose can land any more shots!
