PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gunner Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Raybould (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Raybould throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Harris misses with a series of wild punches.

Harris clinches up against the cage.
Raybould tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Harris's elbow.

Harris breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Harris is trying hard to land a takedown here. Raybould sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Raybould throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harris paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Harris changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Harris not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Raybould can do anything to dispel that myth.

Harris slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Harris seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Raybould misses with a hook. Harris ducked under it nicely.

Harris clinches up with Raybould and pushes him back against the cage.

Raybould really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Harris. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Raybould looking to sit in guard and control but Harris gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Raybould tries to get to full guard but Harris has control of the leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Harris thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Raybould's head.
Harris is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Harris throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Raybould has his hands clasped together but Harris breaks the hold and Raybould is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Harris!
