Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kimroy Hoo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wooden Pencil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pencil has chosen Full Retard as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kimroy Hoo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Wooden Pencil!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Josh West and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pencil throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Hoo.


It looks like Kimroy Hoo has been cut.

Pencil has closed the distance and engaged Hoo in a clinch.
Hoo works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Pencil.
With the fighters up against the cage, Hoo throws an elbow but misses.
We've been informed that Pencil has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Pencil pushes Hoo back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Hoo keeps control of Pencil as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

I was talking to Hoo's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Pencil works over Hoo's head and body with a nice combination.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Pencil fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Hoo, pushing him back against the cage.
Pencil misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Hoo swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Hoo struggles to land a body shot inside as Pencil controls his hands.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Pencil.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Pencil creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Pencil on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Hoo misses with some punches.
Hoo lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Hoo tries a body shot but Pencil blocks it.

Pencil's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Pencil turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Wooden Pencil seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A little jabbing left from Pencil on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Pencil will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Hoo.

Hoo takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Hoo throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Hoo clinches.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hoo tries to land knees in the clinch but Pencil avoids the damage to the body.
Hoo lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Pencil backwards.
Pencil pushes Hoo back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Kimroy Hoo will probably get the nod.

As Pencil backs away, Hoo returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Wooden Pencil is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Hoo, as that shot connected.
Hoo will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

and Hoo counters with a stiff right hand.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pencil rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hoo moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hoo dips to his left and cracks Pencil with an uppercut!
