The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vicious slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

We've been informed that Vicious has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Vicious wants to pass to mount but Gay is defending the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Vicious uses his free foot to push down on Gay's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Gay.
Vicious has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Vicious takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Gay stops Vicious from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.

Gay is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Vicious has taken his back.
Vicious has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Gay's body.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Well Vicious has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
