Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dane Mcleod!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Leo Pitbull!
The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Anthony Taglia and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pitbull clinches.

Pitbull gets control of Mcleod's arms and successfully pulls guard. Pitbull will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Pitbull is trying to keep Mcleod in close.
Pitbull has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mcleod stands up and waves to Pitbull to follow him.
Leo Pitbull seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mcleod rushes Pitbull and presses him up against the cage.

Pitbull tries to pull guard but Mcleod won't allow it.

Mcleod jumps guard but Pitbull turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Pitbull breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Mcleod tries to break the clinch but Pitbull is controlling the position.

Pitbull's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Mcleod is wriggling around but Pitbull manages to pass to half guard.

Mcleod tries to roll over but Pitbull keeps him under control.
Mcleod is in trouble now - Pitbull has advanced to mount!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mcleod is looking to get to half guard.
Mcleod sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Mcleod is looking to escape.
Pitbull throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Mcleod has his hands on Pitbull's head, controlling the position.
Mcleod lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Pitbull holds on and takes a little breather.

Pitbull is trying to control Mcleod's posture but Mcleod avoids it.
Pitbull is looking to regain half guard here but Mcleod keeps moving and retains side control.
Pitbull is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Pitbull is defending against the submission attempts here by Mcleod.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Pitbull throws an elbow but it misses.
Mcleod tries to throw a body punch but Pitbull avoids it by throwing Mcleod back against the cage.

Pitbull will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Mcleod shoots in and bounces Pitbull off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Mcleod really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Pitbull wants to hit a switch here but Mcleod passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Pitbull there!

Pitbull is wriggling around trying to escape.
Pitbull tries to hold on but Mcleod postures up.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Pitbull manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Pitbull is trying to maintain the position but Mcleod is very close to passing his half guard.
Still in half guard, Mcleod seems content to control.
The fighters are battling for position here. Pitbull manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Pitbull tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Mcleod stands and steps away. Pitbull gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Mcleod has Pitbull up against the cage in a clinch.
Pitbull fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Pitbull tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Mcleod on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Mcleod misses with a punch to the body.
Pitbull tries for a takedown but Mcleod manages to get underhooks.

Pitbull throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Pitbull avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mcleod defending well as Pitbull loads up on a big left hand.
Pitbull darts in looking for a takedown but Mcleod gets double underhooks and turns Pitbull into the cage.
Pitbull is breathing heavily.
Pitbull tries to clinch up.
It looked like Mcleod wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mcleod fails in his attempt to clinch.
Mcleod tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Pitbull manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Pitbull connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dane Mcleod dominated that second round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Mcleod leaves Pitbull with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Pitbull tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mcleod swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Nice takedown defense from Mcleod. No joy for Pitbull on that attempt.
Mcleod is looking to clinch but Pitbull is avoiding it.
Mcleod takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Pitbull fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mcleod manages to avoid it.
Pitbull tries to clinch but Mcleod is having none of it.
Mcleod takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

No luck with that takedown attempt from Mcleod.

Mcleod displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pitbull.

Mcleod throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Pitbull tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Mcleod is in Pitbull's guard.
Pitbull takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Pitbull looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Pitbull trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Mcleod won't allow Pitbull to sweep him here.
Pitbull is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Mcleod dives into side control.

Pitbull is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Mcleod is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Pitbull wants to hold on but Mcleod pushes him away.

Dane Mcleod overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Pitbull tries to buck Mcleod off but he can't manage it.
Mcleod manages to capitalize on a mistake by Pitbull to take his back!
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Pitbull is trying to stand back up.
