The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Robbins shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Well, if Robbins is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Robbins looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ellis with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Robbins lands a nice short elbow.
Robbins is looking to advance position but Ellis won't allow it.

It looks like Robbins might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Robbins's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Robbins shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Robbins showed some decent athleticism there.

Robbins perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Ellis is pressing down on Robbins's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Ellis can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Robbins controls the pace.

Robbins postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Ellis to stand up.

Robbins closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Ellis is not in a great position here, taking some shots.

Robbins is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Ellis is hurt! He's hurt bad - Robbins fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Ellis from any more punishment! Congratulations to Robbins! Great finish!
