Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Josh Warrington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shin Nakamura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Josh Warrington!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Shin Nakamura!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Warrington clinches.
Warrington wants to break free but Nakamura has control.
Nakamura tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Warrington smiles and moves away.
Warrington shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Nakamura eats them both and turns towards Warrington to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Warrington fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Warrington feints a jab promting Nakamura to slip. Warrington then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Nakamura slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Warrington lands with a cross.
Warrington tries to bum rush Nakamura with a series of wild strikes but Nakamura uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Nakamura is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Warrington has Nakamura up against the cage in a clinch.

Nakamura has hold of one of Warrington's legs. Warrington is fighting the takedown attempt but Nakamura gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Nakamura postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nakamura is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Nakamura stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Warrington swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Warrington is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Nakamura is fighting to break Warrington's control of his arms but Warrington is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Nakamura controls from within his opponent's guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Warrington misses with the combination.
Horrible takedown attempt by Nakamura or perhaps it was just good defense by Warrington, which made it look bad.
Nakamura shoots in for a takedown but Warrington shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Josh Warrington has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shin Nakamura.
Warrington lands with a nice combination. Nakamura backs away looking to recover.

and Warrington counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Warrington leaves Nakamura with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Nakamura throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Warrington.
Nakamura fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Warrington avoids it really well and circles away.
As Nakamura looks to move away, Warrington throws a big counter combo but Nakamura just gets out of the way.

Nakamura dodges the punch combination from Warrington.
Josh Warrington is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Nakamura takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Warrington misses with a few strikes there.
Nakamura wants to counter the offense by Warrington and move into the clinch position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Nakamura takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Warrington gets a clinch.
Nakamura tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Warrington avoids it.
Warrington is looking for a takedown.

Nakamura drags the fight down to the ground.
Warrington throwing strikes but missing.
Warrington is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Nakamura can do to turn this around?
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Warrington throws a right and a left that both miss.
Nakamura dives in and grabs Warrington's left leg, looking for a takedown. Warrington pushes down on Nakamura's head and hops out.
Warrington lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Nakamura fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Warrington avoids it really well and circles away.
Warrington fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Warrington wants to clinch up but Nakamura keeps it at a distance.

Nakamura goes for a double leg but Warrington avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Warrington continues to drive forward.
Josh Warrington has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shin Nakamura.

Warrington lands a front kick.
Warrington lands a two punch combo.
Warrington throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
No joy there for Warrington, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nakamura misses with a takedown
and Warrington counters with a left and a right that stings Nakamura.
Josh Warrington is winning the standup battle so far.
Nakamura lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Warrington circles away quickly and effectively.
Warrington is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Warrington stalks Nakamura and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Nakamura's face. Nakamura staggers backwards, shaken.
Warrington lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nakamura circles away quickly and effectively.

Warrington throws a right and a left that both miss.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Warrington looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Warrington swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Nakamura counters with a straight right hand.
Warrington fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Nakamura fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Warrington wants to stand but Nakamura is controlling his posture from full guard.

Warrington is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Nakamura scores with a couple of nice shots.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

As Warrington backs off Nakamura throws a huge counter combo but Warrington manages to avoid it all.
