Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gus Beau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bobby Whaley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Whaley has chosen Drowning Pool - Tear Away as his entrance music. Gus Beau has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Beau rushes Whaley and presses him up against the cage.

Whaley looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Gus Beau seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Beau looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Whaley drops down looking for an ankle pick but Beau pulls his leg out and moves away.
Nice takedown defense from Whaley. No joy for Beau on that attempt.

Whaley has Beau pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Beau manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Beau just misses with a elbow thrown towards Whaley's brow.
Whaley is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Beau is defending well.
Whaley jumps guard but Beau stands there with Whaley around his waist. Whaley gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Whaley drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Beau gets the underhooks and prevents it.

A frustrated look appears on Beau's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Whaley jumps into guard, dragging Beau to the mat.
Beau throws a big right hand that misses.
Whaley preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Beau chips away with some ground and pound.
Beau with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Whaley wants to take the fight to the mat but Beau manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Beau seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Beau cracks Whaley with a right hand to the side of the head.

Beau cracks Whaley with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Beau has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Whaley to stand back up!

Whaley is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Beau finds Whaley's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Whaley flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Beau lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Whaley will be OK.
