Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Don Wallace!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Beef Williams!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Williams clinches.

Williams decides to pull guard.

Williams is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Williams wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Williams has an active guard here but Wallace has managed to pass into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Williams wants to control but Wallace is keeping busy.
Wallace thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Wallace is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Wallace is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Williams defends it well.

Williams is looking for a sweep. Wallace is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Williams is controlling Wallace's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Williams slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Wallace throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Williams works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Williams seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Wallace won't allow Williams to get back to his feet.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

and Wallace makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Wallace tries to keep at a distance but Williams has taken the fight into the clinch.

Wallace is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Williams blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Wallace wants to break free but Williams has control.

and Williams counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Williams seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wallace does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Wallace is trying to control but can't.

Williams is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Williams tries to score a power double leg takedown but Wallace sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Williams somewhat.

Williams changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Wallace looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Wallace is trying to get back to his feet.
You can see the frustration on Wallace's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Williams has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Wallace pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Wallace leaves Williams with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Williams moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Beef Williams seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Williams is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Wallace's half guard.

Wallace pushes Williams off and gets back to his feet.

Beef Williams is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Williams rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wallace moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Williams blocks a head kick by Wallace.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Williams.
Don Wallace has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Beef Williams.
Williams is breathing heavily.

Williams throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Wallace tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Williams is in Wallace's guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Don Wallace will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Wallace bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Williams's guard.

Wallace postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Williams is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Williams has his foot on Wallace's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wallace works his way back into a safe position though.
Williams wants to stand and escape but Wallace is having none of it.
Williams wants to sweep here but Wallace controlling him for the moment.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Beef Williams comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Williams has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
