Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Calloway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jer Bear (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Calloway's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, The Death Symphony. Bear has chosen Good Times as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Calloway!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jer Bear!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Fedor Mirinova and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bear throws a head kick but Calloway moves out of range.
Calloway moves in looking to clinch but Bear pushes him off.
Calloway misses with a wild combination.
A jab from Bear misses.
Calloway swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Calloway keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Calloway looks to land a combination but Bear avoids it well.

Bear clinches up with Calloway and pushes him back against the cage.
Bear taking a breather.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bear lands a hook that snaps the head of Calloway backwards.
Bear is trying to pull guard but Calloway turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Bear will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Calloway up against the cage.

Calloway drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Bear gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Bear stalling against the cage.
Bear wants to break the clinch but can't.
Bear is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Calloway breaks from the clinch.
Calloway lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.


It looks like Jer Bear has been cut.
Bear throws a right and a left that Calloway avoids nicely.
Bear misses with a double jab.

Bear ducks under a wild hook from Calloway.
Nice body punch from Calloway.
Calloway misses with a two punch combination.
Calloway throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bear thinks about the counter body kick.
Bear tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Calloway manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Calloway moves into the clinch successfully.
Bear slowing the pace effectively.
Calloway has Bear pressed against the cage, preventing Bear from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Bear throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Calloway tries to pull guard but Bear holds him up against the cage and eventually Calloway drops back down to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Calloway blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Bear stalling the fight.

Bear displaying some good clinch control by pressing Calloway up against the cage.
Bear tries for a takedown but Calloway manages to get underhooks.
Mark Calloway has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jer Bear.
Calloway lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Bear has clasped his hands together around Calloway's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Bear in side control lands a decent elbow.
Bear wants to control but Calloway is keeping him busy.
Bear has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Calloway tries to get back to half guard but can't.

The strikes coming from Bear are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Calloway tries to bench press Bear off him but Bear keeps the position.
Bear lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bear trying to control the action but Calloway is working from the bottom.
Calloway is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Bear's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Bear wants to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jer Bear will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Jer Bear's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Bear tries for a takedown but Calloway sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Calloway throws a big counter combination but Bear scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Bear goes for a high kick. It partially lands.

Bear moves into the clinch.
A short uppercut from Bear.

Calloway gets control of Bear's arms and successfully pulls guard. Calloway will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Bear lands a couple of digs.
Calloway working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Bear.
Calloway is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Bear trying to control but Calloway is working from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Calloway is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Bear is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Calloway's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Calloway's back!
Calloway rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Calloway slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Calloway on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Calloway tries to get out of the position.
Bear postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Calloway tries to strike from the bottom.
Bear is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Bear scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Bear in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Bear controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Calloway seems keen to control Bear's posture.

Calloway knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bear on the ground.

Bear avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Calloway is working an open guard so Bear takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Calloway misses with an uppercut. Bear saw that one coming.
Bear tries to clinch but Calloway moves out of range.
Calloway is looking for a counter combo.
Calloway looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Bear tries to counter by closing the distance.
Bear tries to clinch up but Calloway circles away and keeps his distance.

Bear moves into the clinch.

Bear manages to break the clinch.
Bear blocks a head kick by Calloway.
Calloway takes a kick to the side of the head.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Bear. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Calloway looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Calloway shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Bear tries to clinch there but Calloway circles away.
Calloway misses with a looping left.
Calloway circles away from the clinch attempt.
Calloway fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Bear is out of range.
Calloway throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bear moves in looking to clinch but Calloway pushes him off.

and Bear counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bear throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Calloway's waist but Calloway gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bear off to one side.
Bear throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Bear rushes Calloway and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Bear manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Bear is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jer Bear showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Calloway's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Calloway fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Sloppy strikes from Calloway. Those never looked like landing.
Calloway blocks a head kick by Bear.
Calloway lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Calloway, as that shot connected.
Bear misses with a two punch combination.
Horrible takedown attempt by Bear or perhaps it was just good defense by Calloway, which made it look bad.
Bear tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Calloway gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Calloway swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Calloway takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Bear pushes Calloway up against the cage in a clinch.
Bear has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Calloway is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Bear fails to pull guard.
Mark Calloway has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jer Bear.
Bear takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Calloway fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Bear can't find room to land a body shot as Calloway controls the action.
Bear controlling the action here for a moment.
Calloway misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Bear.
Bear is trying to pull guard but Calloway has him pressed against the cage.
Bear will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Calloway up against the cage.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bear has a couple of punches blocked by Calloway.
Bear wants a takedown but no success here.
Calloway prevents the takedown attempt.

Calloway has Bear pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Calloway pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Bear tumbling to the mat - Calloway dives into Bear's guard.
Calloway slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Bear lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

My spies in Montreal Fighter's Gym (5* Sparring) inform me that Bear has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!
Calloway looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bear is one step ahead there.

Calloway throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Bear escapes and throws Calloway's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Jer Bear is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

A lull in the action here as Bear stalls from top position.
Calloway tries to improve position but can't.
Mark Calloway has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Bear trying to control the position but Calloway is working away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Bear avoids the strikes from the bottom by Calloway.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Jer Bear.
I've got Bear winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
