Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexsi Kiser (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ethan Evans (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ethan Evans!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, David Hoff and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiser scores with a decent looking hook.
Evans falls off balance throwing a combination
and Kiser counters with a left and a right that stings Evans.

Kiser gets tackled into the cage by Evans. Evans maintains the clinch.
Kiser is looking to take this one to the mat.
Evans prevents a takedown attempt there.
Kiser keeps control of Evans as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Kiser goes for a takedown attempt but Evans pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alexsi Kiser. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kiser is defended easily by Evans.

Evans jumps guard but Kiser stands there with Evans around his waist. Evans gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Kiser takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Kiser escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Kiser pulls guard effortlessly.
Evans looking to sit in guard and control but Kiser gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Kiser might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Evans wants to get back to his feet but Kiser is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Evans really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kiser. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Evans is trying to control the position but Kiser postures up.
Kiser is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Evans working a defensive guard but Kiser manages to pass into side control anyway.
Kiser wants to lay and pray for a moment but Evans keeps working.

Kiser working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Evans tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kiser defends well and Evans ends up having to push Kiser into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Evans shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kiser sprawls well. Kiser wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Evans gets slowly back to his feet.

Kiser has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kiser thows a huge punch but Evans dodges it nicely.

Kiser is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Evans is just riding it out for now. Kiser eventually gives up the hold.
Kiser is taking a breather. Evans says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Evans tries to roll over but Kiser keeps him under control.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Kiser blocks the strikes from Evans.
Kiser missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Kiser moves nicely into side control.
Evans tries to improve position but can't.
Kiser takes a little break here. Evans wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Kiser is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Evans knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Kiser in side control, throwing shots but Evans defends.

Kiser decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Kiser is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Evans can do to turn this around?
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Evans takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Kiser here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Kiser shoots in looking for a takedown. Evans tries to sprawl out of it but Kiser keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Evans manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Evans takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Kiser tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Evans swivels and escapes.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kiser controls Evans momentarily but Evans frees himself.
Evans throws a big right hand that misses.
Kiser bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Evans's guard.

Kiser stays in close to Evans's body and controls the position.
Kiser is pushing down on Evans's leg trying to pass to half guard. Evans is fighting to maintain full guard but Kiser has managed to sneak the leg through.
Kiser is taking a breather. Evans says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Kiser prevents Evans from improving his position.
Evans trying to get back to full guard but Kiser takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
Ethan Evans has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
