Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Grover Kirby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Angel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Grover Kirby!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Adam Angel!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Chris Edwards and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Angel clinches with his opponent.

Kirby tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
Kirby could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Kirby might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Angel has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Kirby has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Kirby sneaks out the side door and pushes Angel away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Angel tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kirby manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Angel moves into range and clinches up with Kirby.
Angel blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Angel tries to land a knee to the head but Kirby blocks with his arms.
Angel lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Kirby backwards.


It looks like Grover Kirby has been cut.

Angel fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kirby sprawls well initially but Angel persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Angel tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kirby keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Angel. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Adam Angel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Angel jumps guard and drags Kirby to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Angel takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Adam Angel comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Angel winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
