EPL 10 - Week 4 PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Sergey Keosayan and Abraham Donowitz. Donowitz has chosen JEW FLOW as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Abraham Donowitz has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Sergey Keosayan's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Donowitz throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
That kick from Keosayan tenderised Donowitz's leg. Donowitz is trying to keep his angry face on.
Donowitz displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Keosayan throws out the jab.
Donowitz looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Keosayan scores with a kick to the body.
Keosayan throws a low kick but it's checked well by Donowitz.
Keosayan thuds his right hand into Donowitz's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Donowitz's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Keosayan connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Donowitz scrambles back to his feet.
Keosayan moves out of range as Donowitz strikes.

Donowitz tries a head kick but it misses.
The fight stays on the outside here - Donowitz looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Donowitz drops Keosayan with a beautiful combination! Keosayan stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Donowitz is looking for the KO!

It looks like Sergey Keosayan has been cut.
Donowitz looks to score with a jab to the body but Keosayan is just out of range.

Keosayan drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Donowitz gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Keosayan digs a right hand underneath Donowitz's ribcage. Donowitz let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Donowitz misses with a hook from the clinch.
Keosayan tries to work over Donowitz's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Keosayan has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Donowitz regains guard immediately.
Keosayan scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Donowitz escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Keosayan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Keosayan passes Donowitz's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Keosayan lands strikes from half guard.
Keosayan is thwarting Donowitz's attempts to control the position.
Donowitz tries to get to full guard but Keosayan has control of the leg.

Keosayan tries to pass the half guard into mount. Donowitz knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Keosayan is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Keosayan is controlling the pace.
Donowitz is trying to get back to full guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Keosayan is looking to pass Donowitz's guard but actually Donowitz recovers to full guard.
Donowitz is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Keosayan tries to free his leg and advance position but Donowitz is retaining full guard.
Keosayan slips nicely into half guard.
Keosayan tries to pass to full mount but Donowitz defends it.

Donowitz takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Keosayan is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Donowitz is surviving well by controlling Keosayan's body position as best he can.

Keosayan tightening his grip on Donowitz, looking for the choke.
Keosayan controlling the position well here. Donowitz rolled but Keosayan kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
