Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alastair Dunn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Darren Burns!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dunn decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Burns wants to control but Dunn is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Burns is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Dunn lands with a punch from half guard.
Burns wants to improve his position but Dunn is controlling well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Burns on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Dunn lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Burns wants to get back to his feet.

Dunn is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dunn connects with a nice short shot to Burns's temple.
Dunn seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Burns on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Dunn lands a nice short elbow.
Burns trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Dunn manages to pass to mount!

Burns is rocked!
The referee warns Burns that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Burns is still in real trouble! Can Dunn finish him?

Burns is trying desperately to improve position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A big strike lands for Dunn! That's really hurt Burns and he's turned his back - Dunn keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Dunn jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alastair Dunn!
