Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joel Oneill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Joel Oneill!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jon Jones!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Daniel Bishop and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oneill ducks right into an uppercut from Jones.
Jones fails to land with a series of punches.
It looked like Oneill was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Jones throws a hook to the side of Oneill's head but Oneill sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Jones throws a body punch but Oneill moves out of range.
Jones swings for the body but Oneill moves out of range.
Oneill drops down looking for a counter takedown but Jones sprawls and moves away.
Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Jones.
Oneill is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Jones.

Oneill clinches with his opponent.
Oneill keeps control of Jones as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Jones looks winded!
Jones tries to break free but Oneill pushes him back against the cage.

Oneill breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jones scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Jones throws a chopping leg kick but Oneill manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
It looked like Oneill was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

and Jones counters with a nice kick to the body.

Oneill shoots for a double leg takedown but Jones sprawls well. He's pushed Oneill's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Jones throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Oneill takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Oneill is working for takedown but Jones is calmly controlling the position for now.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Oneill has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jones can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Oneill trying to keep a closed guard but Jones is proving a slippery customer.
We've been informed that Jones has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Jones really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Oneill. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Oneill manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jones manages to get himself to full guard.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Oneill has Jones up against the cage in a clinch.

Jones breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A nice inside leg kick there by Jones. That's going to slow Oneill down.
Oneill moves out of range of the body kick.
Oneill throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Oneill tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jones defends well and Oneill ends up having to push Jones into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Oneill bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jones can do anything to dispel that myth.
Jones tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
Jones's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Oneill pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
BOOM! Oneill connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Jones is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Oneill looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Oneill looking for a guillotine from mount but Jones is having none of it.
Oneill unloads with some shots from mount but Jones bucks and avoids them well.

Oneill is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Jones to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Jones shrugs it off.

Jones holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Oneill tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Oneill wants to finish this one by submission but Jones is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Oneill.

Jones has had enough of the clinch but Oneill keeps him there for the moment.
Jones is pressed up against the cage. Oneill has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Jones down to the mat. Jones avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
