Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Caribou Moose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joseph Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Caribou Moose has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Caribou Moose!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joseph Parker!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, John Mangel and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moose tries to score a power double leg takedown but Parker sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Moose somewhat.

Parker takes the fight into the clinch.
Moose lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Parker.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Parker wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Parker breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Moose clinches.

Moose decides to pull guard.

Moose tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Parker looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Moose is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Parker drops back looking for a leg! Moose is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Moose manages to kick Parker off! Parker jumps back into Moose's guard.
Parker slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Parker is in close to Moose's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Parker postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Parker with a flurry of punches that miss.
Moose wants to sweep here but Parker controlling him for the moment.
Moose trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Moose looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Parker has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Parker is looking to work some ground and pound but Moose has wrist control.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Moose wants to control but Parker is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Parker throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Moose on the side of the head.
Moose fails with an attempt to clinch.

Parker swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Parker throws the kick towards the body but Moose avoids it.
Moose appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Parker misses with a two punch combination.
Moose tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Parker paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Moose doesn't manage to clinch there - Parker circles away.
Moose throws a body kick that misses.
Moose shoots for a double leg takedown but Parker sprawls well. He's pushed Moose's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Parker raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Moose tries to clinch up.
Some bone on bone action there as Moose checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Parker lands a right hook to the body.
Moose throws a combination that misses
and Parker counters with a one-two to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joseph Parker dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Moose wants to clinch.
Moose tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Parker counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Moose thinking.
Moose goes for a double leg but Parker avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Parker continues to drive forward.
Parker wants to land a leg kick but Moose is out of range.
Parker misses with a few strikes there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Moose misses with a two punch combination.

Parker instigates a clinch.
Parker blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Moose is looking to break free of the clinch but Parker has double underhooks.
Parker wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Moose has him pressed against the cage.

Parker is trying to break the clinch but Moose is controlling him.

Parker pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Moose gets a double leg takedown into Parker's guard.

Parker is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Moose escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Parker jabs at Moose's body.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Parker in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
Parker keeps the fight on the outside.
Parker throws a half hearted mid kick.
Danga de danga de dang - Parker scores with a four punch combination!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Parker swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Moose darts in trying to clinch
and Parker counters with a straight right hand.

Moose goes for a double leg but Parker avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Parker continues to drive forward.
Parker throws a nice looking combination but Moose bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Joseph Parker seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Moose lands a jab to Parker's midsection.
Moose tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Moose takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Moose with a lazy takedown attempt
and Parker counters with a series of strikes. Moose will be more careful next time no doubt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Caribou Moose. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Moose avoids a punch combination nicely.

Moose rushes Parker and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Moose jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Parker walks away with a smile on his face. Moose gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Joseph Parker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Moose has taken the fight to the clinch.
Moose tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Parker smiles and moves away.
Moose is trying hard to land a takedown here. Parker sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Parker instigates a clinch.
Parker is looking to break free of the clinch but Moose has double underhooks.

Parker breaks from the clinch.
Moose throws a sloppy head kick
and Parker counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Moose takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Moose misses with a series of wild punches.
Caribou Moose is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Parker lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Parker is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Moose like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Moose from another fist facial!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joseph Parker!
