Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nejc Majcen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gregory McConor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Majcen closes the distance but McConor moves to the side
and McConor counters with a nice body shot.
McConor tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Majcen defends well and McConor ends up having to push Majcen into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Majcen scores with a head kick. McConor tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.

Majcen bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps McConor's head backwards.
McConor sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
McConor shoots for a takedown but Majcen saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Majcen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
And McConor tries to counter it with a takedown but Majcen pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Majcen throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Majcen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Majcen lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as McConor backs up against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Majcen goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
McConor tries to score a power double leg takedown but Majcen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten McConor somewhat.

Majcen dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on McConor. That did some damage!

McConor has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Majcen.
Majcen lands with a kick to the temple. McConor shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

McConor is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Majcen has his foot on McConor's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. McConor works his way back into a safe position though.

McConor looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

McConor tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
