These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rutherford jabs Lobo to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Lobo moves into the clinch.

Lobo manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rutherford is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Rutherford has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rutherford is sitting in close to Lobo's body. Lobo has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Rutherford is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Rutherford is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Lobo.
