Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mr Steel Penn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cornelius Carr!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Patrick Alders and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel Penn keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Carr.
Steel Penn seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Steel Penn misses with the combination.
Carr throws a body shot but no joy.
Carr digs a good hook to Steel Penn's body.
Steel Penn misses with a double jab.
It seemed like Carr was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Carr avoids the body shot from Steel Penn.
Some wild striking there from Carr.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Steel Penn listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Carr feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Steel Penns jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!


It looks like Mr Steel Penn has been cut.

Carr lands with a good body shot.
Carr fails to land with a series of punches.
Carr throws a right and a left that both miss.
We've been hearing reports that Steel Penn has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Carr ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Steel Penn moves away.
Steel Penn seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Carr is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Steel Penn.
Steel Penn went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Carr missing with a left hand there. Steel Penn was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Carr blocks a head kick by Steel Penn.
Carr connects with a nice looking jab.
Carr throws a hook to the side of Steel Penn's head but Steel Penn sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Carr scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Carr turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Carr throws a hook but Steel Penn blocks it.
Steel Penn is looking for a counter combo.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Carr uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Steel Penn throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Steel Penn throws a body punch but Carr moves out of range.
Horrible takedown attempt by Steel Penn or perhaps it was just good defense by Carr, which made it look bad.
Steel Penn throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Steel Penn throws an off balance right hand
and Carr counters with a nice body shot.
Carr catches Steel Penn with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Steel Penn lands with a slapping head kick.
A slow jab from Carr misses its intended target.
Steel Penn shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Today's fight clock is brought to you by... OOOH that's a huge shot by Carr! Steel Penn is in big trouble here - the ref steps in to save him and this one is all over!

After winning the bout, Cornelius Carr thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
