Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nasser El Sonbaty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Steamboat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Steamboat comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Lorde - Tennis Court kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Ricky Steamboat is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steamboat tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but El Sonbaty swivels and escapes.
El Sonbaty wants to clinch.
El Sonbaty misses with a head kick.
El Sonbaty doesn't manage to clinch there - Steamboat circles away.

Steamboat drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

El Sonbaty working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Steamboat doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Steamboat manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Steamboat lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Steamboat breaks from El Sonbaty's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Steamboat lands a couple of good shots and El Sonbaty has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
Steamboat has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
