Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joey Olson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mighty Groove (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Groove shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Olson as he jumps to the side.

Groove pushes Olson up against the cage in a clinch.
Olson is trying to pull guard but Groove has him pressed against the cage.
Olson is trying to maintain a safe position but Groove gets an underhook and turns Olson into the cage.
Groove stops a takedown attempt from Olson.

Groove closes the distance and clinches.
Groove is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Olson gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Groove is trying to get an arm triangle but Olson is defending well.
Olson manages to get back to half guard.

Groove is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Olson still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Olson has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Groove throws a head kick but Olson moves out of range.
Groove throws a body shot but no joy.
Olson is looking to counter with head kicks.
Horrible takedown attempt by Olson or perhaps it was just good defense by Groove, which made it look bad.
Groove now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Olson tries to clinch but Groove is having none of it.
Olson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Groove tries to avoid it but Olson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Groove to the ground. Groove escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Groove shoots for a double leg takedown but Olson sprawls well. He's pushed Groove's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Olson seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Mighty Groove seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Groove throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Olson.
Groove shoots in but Olson avoids the takedown attempt easily.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Olson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Groove circles away.

Olson feints and as Groove raises his hands in defense, Olson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Groove ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Groove no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Groove is looking for a triangle but Olson pushes his legs off easily.
Groove takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Olson decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Groove, up you get!

Groove has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Olson uses from the top position.

Well Groove has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
