Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Stanton Downs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rock Rounders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Chris Dean and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Downs feints and as Rounders raises his hands in defense, Downs changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Downs with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Downs is in close to Rounders's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Rounders is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Downs connects with a couple of short punches.
Downs stops Rounders from standing up.
Rounders preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Rounders wants to stand up but Downs is controlling him.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Downs is working Rounders over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Rounders wants to stand and escape but Downs is having none of it.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Downs enables Rounders to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Downs manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Downs bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Rounders's guard.

Downs stands and steps away. Rounders gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Rounders changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Downs looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Downs is pressing down on Rounders's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Downs is on top in guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rounders has his feet on Downs's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Rounders lands with an uppercut that bounces Downs off the cage and back into range.
Downs looks for a takedown but Rounders sprawls well.
Rock Rounders seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Downs feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Downs keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Rounders's head.

Rounders is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Downs is controlling him.

Rounders really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Downs. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Rounders shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Downs is trying to defend but Rounders finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Downs moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Rounders tries to clinch up but Downs circles away and keeps his distance.
Downs is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Rounders scores with a one two! Downs had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Rounders moves to clinch but Downs breaks away
and Downs makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Rounders closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Rounders lands in his opponent's guard.
Downs is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Downs is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Rounders is breathing heavily.

Rounders wants to get back to his feet.
Downs seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Downs drops an elbow to the side of Rounders's head.
Downs slips a nice elbow through Rounders's hands, connecting with Rounders's forehead.
Rounders on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Downs looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Rounders with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Rounders has hold of Downs's hands but Downs slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Rounders pushes Downs off looking to stand but Downs dives back in and keeps control.
Downs is working for a submission of some sort.

Downs quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Rounders has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Downs celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
