The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Young shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Hooper throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Young lands a couple of digs.

It looks like Maynard Hooper has been cut.

Hooper has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Young avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Young had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hooper defends it easily.
Hooper will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Young holds on and takes a little breather.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Young can do anything to dispel that myth.
Hooper throws a strike but Young rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
