Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brandon Spikes!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Jorge Garcia and David Schapiro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Spikes.
Frankie Gold seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gold lunges at Spikes with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Spikes's hand.
Gold displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Spikes.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Spikes.

Gold throws a hook to the side of Spikes's head but Spikes sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Spikes darts in looking for a takedown but Gold gets double underhooks and turns Spikes into the cage.
Frankie Gold has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brandon Spikes.
Gold slaps away a takedown attempt from Spikes, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Spikes closes the distance and pushes Gold back into the cage.

Gold has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Spikes is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Spikes's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Gold throws a head kick but Spikes moves out of range.
Spikes looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gold is fending him off so far but Spikes persists. Nope, Gold circles away and we're back to standing.

Gold scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Spikes manages to mount him!

Spikes working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Gold turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Spikes off and cradles Gold's limp body as Spikes celebrates with his corner.
