Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Jake Blade!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Laam OvGod!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Glass and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blade misses with a low kick.
OvGod misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Blade jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
A leg kick checked by Blade.
Blade bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Blade connects with a good right hand that stumbles OvGod. OvGod circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
OvGod uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Blade.
OvGod tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Blade counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Blade punishes OvGod's body with a nice straight punch.
A nice leg kick lands there from Blade.
Blade goes for a double leg but OvGod avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as OvGod continues to drive forward.

and Blade finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Blade delivers a nice body kick.

and Blade counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
OvGod fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Blade forces OvGod back against the cage and clinches.
Blade can't find room to land a body shot as OvGod controls the action.

OvGod misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Blade.

Blade pushes OvGod back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Blade blocks an uppercut.
OvGod has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
OvGod's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
OvGod tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Blade lands an uppercut.
OvGod misses with a short punch on the inside.
Blade throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Blade makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Blade takes a shot to the head.
Blade lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of OvGod backwards.
Blade managing to block the knees to the body from OvGod.
OvGod working aggressively here.
OvGod tries to land knees in the clinch but Blade avoids the damage to the body.
Blade working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Blade lands with a short head shot on the inside.

OvGod misses with a hook from the clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Blade creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Blade throws an elbow but it's blocked.

OvGod has had enough of the clinch but Blade keeps him there for the moment.

Blade breaks from the clinch.
Laam OvGod seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Blade moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Blade lands a right hook to the body.
OvGod gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Blade counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
A nice leg kick lands there from Blade.
A jab lands there for Blade.
OvGod is still on wobbly legs! Can Blade finish him?
OvGod throws a looping overhand right but Blade ducks down to avoid it.

Blade gets a clinch.
Blade pushes OvGod against the cage. Blade is working some dirty boxing. Blade pushes off with a quick right hook! OvGod goes down! OvGod tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Blade moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jake Blade!
After winning the bout, Jake Blade thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
