The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rioka tries to clinch up but Hall circles away and keeps his distance.
Hall is looking to score with low kicks.
Rioka uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hall.
Rioka lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hall circles away quickly and effectively.
Hall jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.

and Rioka counters with a single leg into guard. Hall didn't expect that.
Rioka looking to sit in guard and control but Hall gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Hall feints and then cracks Rioka's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Rioka down.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Both fighters circling a little - Hall finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Good leg kick by Hall there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Rioka throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Rioka swings wildly with an uppercut but Hall uses good head movement to avoid it.

The referee is keeping an eye on Rioka - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Hall creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Rioka's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Rioka drops to his knees and Hall pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
