Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Squiggy Squirrelly!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jerry Haze!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Chris Edwards and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haze checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Haze ducks under a wild hook from Squirrelly.
Haze throws out a counter right but Squirrelly avoids it with no problem.
Haze steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Squirrelly.
A slow jab from Haze misses its intended target.
Haze throws an off balance right hand
and Squirrelly connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Haze misses with a straight left.
Haze scoring well with a low kick there.
Haze connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
A swing and a miss from Haze.
Haze jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Haze is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
Haze avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Haze's jab looks to have found its range, popping Squirrelly under the eye.
Haze has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Squirrelly scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Haze doesn't seem bothered though.

Squirrelly is trying to push Haze away but Haze has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Haze with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Haze lands with a right to the head.
Haze tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Squirrelly's elbow.
Squirrelly tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Squirrelly wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Haze throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Squirrelly blocks it with crossed arms.
Haze goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Haze lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Come on Squirrelly - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Squirrelly fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Squirrelly has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Squirrelly has had enough of the clinch but Haze keeps him there for the moment.

Haze throws an overhand right that lands on Squirrelly's shoulder, as Squirrelly tries to avoid the shot.
Squirrelly takes a shot right to the bread basket.
A punch lands to the side of Haze 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Squirrelly scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Haze swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Squirrelly throws a lazy uppercut
and Haze counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Squirrelly throws a sloppy body shot
and Haze connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Squirrelly connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Haze's hands.
Squirrelly misses the shot to the body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Haze checks a leg kick.
Squirrelly feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Hazes jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Squirrelly cracks a nice hook into Haze's ribs.
Squirrelly throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Squirrelly lands with a shot to the body.
Haze keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Squirrelly connects with a high kick.

Haze lands a jab to the nose.
Haze connects with a leg kick. Squirrelly looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Haze catches Squirrelly with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Haze lands a nice leg kick that just misses Squirrelly's sensitive parts.
Squirrelly misses with a straight left.
Haze is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Squirrelly with a body shot.
Squirrelly just misses with a punch to the body.
Nice takedown defense from Squirrelly. No joy for Haze on that attempt.
Haze throws a leg kick which misses Squirrelly's front leg but catches the back leg as Squirrelly tries to avoid it.
Haze tries to clinch up.

Haze connects with a good right hand that stumbles Squirrelly. Squirrelly circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Haze stuns Squirrelly with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Squirrelly takes a swing at Haze's ribcage but misses.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Squirrelly feinted there with a counter leg kick.

Squirrelly swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Haze.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jerry Haze will probably get the nod.

Squiggy Squirrelly is winning the standup battle so far.
Squirrelly chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Haze can pounce on him.
Squiggy Squirrelly seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Squirrelly throws a body shot but no joy.
Haze connects with a solid leg kick.
Haze just misses with a punch to the body.
Squirrelly avoids the body shot from Haze.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Squirrelly moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Squirrelly cracks Haze with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Haze looks to score with a jab to the body but Squirrelly is just out of range.
Squirrelly looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Haze looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
It looked like Squirrelly wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Haze scores with a head kick. Squirrelly tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.


Squirrelly is rocked!
BOOM! Haze lands a beautiful left hook that drops Squirrelly. Squirrelly tries to recover but Haze is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Squirrelly lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jerry Haze! Jerry Haze retains his super heavyweight title!
Jerry Haze seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
