The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Igor Prikhodko and Aleksandr Martynov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaliprapon misses with a takedown attempt
and Takarov counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Kaliprapon tries to clinch there but Takarov circles away.
Takarov throws a body punch but Kaliprapon moves out of range.
Kaliprapon lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

Takarov feints and as Kaliprapon raises his hands in defense, Takarov changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Takarov stands up and waves to Kaliprapon to follow him.

Kaliprapon rushes Takarov and presses him up against the cage.

Takarov tightens his grip and picks Kaliprapon up, before dumping him to the ground. Kaliprapon manages to land in guard.

Kaliprapon wriggles free and stands up.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kaliprapon forces Takarov back against the cage and clinches.
Takarov tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kaliprapon smiles and moves away.

Kaliprapon moves into range and clinches up with Takarov.

Takarov has Kaliprapon pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Takarov pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Kaliprapon tumbling to the mat - Takarov dives into Kaliprapon's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kaliprapon can do anything to dispel that myth.
Takarov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kaliprapon swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Takarov connects with a couple of short punches.

Kaliprapon wants to get back to his feet but Takarov is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Kaliprapon manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Kaliprapon shoots in looking for a takedown. Takarov tries to sprawl out of it but Kaliprapon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Takarov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Takarov has closed the distance and engaged Kaliprapon in a clinch.
Takarov fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Takarov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
