Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jake Belcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tapio Sammalkorpi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jake Belcher!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tapio Sammalkorpi!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Michael Johnstone and Bart Greer.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sammalkorpi shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Belcher defends it nicely.
Sammalkorpi shoots in looking for a takedown. Belcher tries to sprawl out of it but Sammalkorpi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Belcher manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Belcher drops down looking for a counter takedown but Sammalkorpi sprawls and moves away.
Belcher shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sammalkorpi as he jumps to the side.

Sammalkorpi closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Belcher is trying to maintain the position but Sammalkorpi is very close to passing his half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
