The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

It looks like Sherman Wilkinson has been cut.
Jackson Rodriguez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wilkinson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Rodriguez to the mat! Rodriguez manages to get full guard.

Rodriguez is working an open guard so Wilkinson takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Wilkinson clinches.

Rodriguez turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Wilkinson is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Rodriguez is controlling him well.

Rodriguez prevents Wilkinson from escaping the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wilkinson is trying to buck Rodriguez off.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Rodriguez wants to take a breather but Wilkinson manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Rodriguez.

Wilkinson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rodriguez gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Rodriguez really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wilkinson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Wilkinson is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Wilkinson wants to stand but Rodriguez is controlling the position.
Wilkinson keeping moving, preventing Rodriguez from controlling successfully.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Rodriguez connects with a crisp jab.
Wilkinson takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Wilkinson is rocked!
Rodriguez throws a pinpoint strike between Wilkinson's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Wilkinson crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Rodriguez scores a great knockout victory!
