The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guina fails with the takedown
and Sakoenie counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Sakoenie misses with a straight right.
Guina takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

and Sakoenie counters with a combination of strikes to the head and body that crumple Guina!

Guina is rocked!
Sakoenie tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Guina.
Guina moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Sakoenie wanted to stand there but Guina had control of the position.
Sakoenie must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Sakoenie stands and steps away. Guina gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

and Sakoenie counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Sakoenie's coach down at JG Fitness&Training was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Sakoenie's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jailson Guina. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sakoenie scores with a jab to the body.
Guina moves out of range of the strikes.
Sakoenie leaves Guina with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Sakoenie dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Sakoenie circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Guina to the canvas! Guina doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Sakoenie keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
