Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Wyatt Meyer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anton Archer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anton Archer acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Wyatt Meyer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anton Archer!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Archer goes for a double leg but Meyer avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Meyer continues to drive forward.
Meyer half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Meyer drives through and clinches with Archer against the cage.
Meyer tries a knee to the head but Archer blocks it.
Archer goes for a takedown in the clinch but Meyer prevents it.

Meyer breaks from the clinch.

Archer clinches up against the cage.

Meyer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Archer lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Meyer circles away quickly and effectively.

Archer shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Meyer's guard.

Meyer is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Archer is aware though and is defending well.

Meyer is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Meyer is looking for a triangle but Archer pushes his legs off easily.
Archer postures up and lands a big shot to Meyer's brow.
Archer's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Meyer manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Meyer tries to sprawl but Archer drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Archer wants to lay and pray for a moment but Meyer keeps working.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Archer escapes and gets back to his feet.
Nice takedown defense from Meyer. No joy for Archer on that attempt.
Wyatt Meyer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anton Archer.

Archer gets tackled into the cage by Meyer. Meyer maintains the clinch.
Meyer changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Archer fights it off and pushes away nicely.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Meyer manages to break the clinch.
Archer tries to score a power double leg takedown but Meyer sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Archer somewhat.
Archer keeps the fight on the outside.
Archer fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Meyer dives in and grabs Archer's left leg, looking for a takedown. Archer pushes down on Meyer's head and hops out.

Archer dives in and scores a takedown into Meyer's guard.

Archer throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Meyer works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Archer engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Meyer working for a triangle but Archer defends it easily.
Archer makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Archer trying to control but Meyer is working from the bottom.
Archer is stalling in the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Wyatt Meyer will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Meyer shoots in but no luck this time.
Meyer lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Meyer tries to clinch but Archer is having none of it.

Meyer closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Archer did well to prevent Meyer getting side control.

Archer has one foot on Meyer's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Meyer steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Archer. That one must have hurt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Meyer throws a right hand that Archer ducks under and follows up with a left that Archer also avoids with ease.
As Meyer backs off Archer throws a huge counter combo but Meyer manages to avoid it all.
Archer misses with a two punch combination.
As Archer tries to get set, Meyer tries to push him back and clinch up but Archer manages to avoid the attempt.
Archer throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Meyer's waist but Meyer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Archer off to one side.
Meyer appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Archer closes the distance and clinches up with Meyer, looking for a takedown. Archer pushes Meyer against the cage but Meyer circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Meyer is looking to counter the offense by Archer and move into the clinch.
Archer fails to land with a series of punches.
Meyer went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Archer looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Meyer takes the fight into the clinch.
Meyer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Archer is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Meyer is defending well.

Archer tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Meyer smiles and moves away.

Archer feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Meyer will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
This has been an exciting period of action!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Archer drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Meyer manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Archer has Meyer in his guard.

Meyer seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

A close second round but Anton Archer will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Archer throws a strike but Meyer rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Meyer is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Meyer has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Archer stuffs the takedown attempt from Meyer. Meyer gets slowly back to his feet.

Meyer changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Archer tries to avoid it but Meyer manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Archer to the ground. Archer escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Archer rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Meyer moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Archer looks for a takedown but Meyer sprawls well.
Archer fails to land with a series of punches.
Archer takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Meyer decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Archer pushes Meyer off looking to stand but Meyer dives back in and keeps control.
Meyer wants to stand up but Archer has a hold of him and won't allow it.

Meyer has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Meyer working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Meyer shoots in but Archer avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Archer closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Meyer to the mat! Meyer manages to get full guard.

Meyer is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Meyer wants to take the fight to the mat but Archer manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Archer breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Archer shoots in for a takedown but Meyer shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Archer misses with a double jab.
The fight stays on the outside here - Meyer looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Archer lands a two punch combo.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

I would just about give that final round to Anton Archer.
I think Archer has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
