Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dino Sadewo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ian Mcgee!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Peter Branson and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sadewo looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Mcgee is trying to stand back up but Sadewo is controlling him

Mcgee has one foot on Sadewo's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Sadewo bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Mcgee wants to get back to his feet but Sadewo drags him back down.
Mcgee is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Sadewo goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Mcgee rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Sadewo's guard! Nice work there by Mcgee!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mcgee is pushing down on Sadewo's leg trying to pass to half guard. Sadewo is fighting to maintain full guard but Mcgee has managed to sneak the leg through.

Mcgee is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sadewo is just riding it out for now. Mcgee eventually gives up the hold.

Mcgee tries to free his leg and advance position but Sadewo is retaining full guard.

Mcgee drops back, looking for a kneebar! Sadewo looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Sadewo looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Sadewo!

Mcgee wants to get back to his feet.

Sadewo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Mcgee takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Sadewo will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Mcgee has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

Sadewo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sadewo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Mcgee is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Mcgee shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sadewo as he jumps to the side.

Sadewo looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Mcgee can do anything to dispel that myth.

Sadewo takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Mcgee is trying to stand.

Sadewo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Mcgee is just riding it out for now. Sadewo eventually gives up the hold.
Sadewo seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dino Sadewo dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Mcgee shoots in looking for a takedown but Sadewo manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mcgee's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Mcgee tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Sadewo defends well and Mcgee ends up having to push Sadewo into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Ian Mcgee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
