Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yuri Kuznetsov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrey Koreshkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andrey Koreshkov is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andrey Koreshkov!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Kuznetsov counters by moving into the clinch.
Kuznetsov crunches a lovely knee into Koreshkov's ribcage.

Kuznetsov is controlling Koreshkov's posture.
Kuznetsov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kuznetsov seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Koreshkov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kuznetsov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Koreshkov is fighting to break Kuznetsov's control of his arms but Kuznetsov is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Koreshkov is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Koreshkov is trying to shake Kuznetsov off. He's managed it and has hopped back to his feet! Kuznetsov won't be happy about giving up the dominant position.

Kuznetsov feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Koreshkovs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Koreshkov wants to improve his position but instead Kuznetsov has moved into half guard.

Kuznetsov decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

Kuznetsov forces Koreshkov back against the cage and clinches.

Kuznetsov ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Kuznetsov no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Koreshkov drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kuznetsov dives on top into guard.


Koreshkov has his feet on Kuznetsov's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Kuznetsov shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Koreshkov manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kuznetsov is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Koreshkov is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Kuznetsov is standing up over Koreshkov. Koreshkov looks to escape but Kuznetsov dives into side control.
Koreshkov is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Kuznetsov is controlling him well.

Kuznetsov tightens his grip and picks Koreshkov up, before dumping him to the ground. Koreshkov manages to land in guard.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Kuznetsov is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Koreshkov can do to turn this around?

Kuznetsov is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Well Kuznetsov has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
