Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Felipe Santana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adrian Darkside (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Darkside closes the distance and clinches.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Santana enables Darkside to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Santana manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Santana really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Santana throws a punch but it's blocked by Darkside.

Santana postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Darkside is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Santana, into his guard.

Santana isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Darkside stacks Santana on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Darkside!

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Santana is trying to control Darkside's posture but Darkside avoids it.

Darkside decides to stand up, so the ref orders Santana to his feet.

Darkside moves into range and clinches up with Santana.
Santana goes for a takedown in the clinch but Darkside prevents it.

Darkside has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Darkside has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Santana can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Santana accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. And we move into the final round!

Santana will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Darkside up against the cage.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Darkside scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Darkside has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Santana regains guard immediately.
Santana controls Darkside momentarily but Darkside frees himself.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Santana gets caught flat footed, as Darkside shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Well Darkside has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
