Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Michael Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Silver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Silver has chosen Stoop the Remains as his entrance music. Joe Silver will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Michael Carter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Silver!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Viktor Lagutenko and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silver throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Carter counters with a shoot takedown. Silver fights it but they end up in guard.
Carter not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Carter working some strikes from top position.
Carter with a flurry of punches that miss.
Silver keeping full guard, as Carter tries to pass.
Carter is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Silver is trying to keep Carter in close.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Silver swinging wildly here.
Silver swings for the body but Carter moves out of range.
Carter attempts a counter takedown but Silver avoids it well and moves away.
Silver throws a nice looking combination but Carter bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Carter shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Carter showed some decent athleticism there.
Carter with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Carter seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Silver for as long as he can get away with.
Carter is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Carter is nestled in close to Silver, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Silver is rocked!
Carter seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Silver is still in real trouble! Can Carter finish him?
Carter is controlling the pace.
Carter lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Silver looks winded!
Silver wants to get back to full guard but Carter has mounted him!
Carter is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Silver goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Carter!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Michael Carter!
An out of breath Michael Carter thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
