PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hop Sing Jung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kieta Vivian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jung comes to the cage accompanied by Jiu Jitsu. Kieta Vivian told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jung shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Vivian's guard.

Vivian working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Jung doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Jung manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Jung advances to half guard.
Vivian makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Vivian.

Vivian has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jung can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Jung thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Vivian told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Jung is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Vivian doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jung.

Jung working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Vivian's thigh. Vivian counters though and makes it back to full guard.

Jung drops back, looking for a kneebar! Vivian looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Vivian looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Vivian!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Jung has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Vivian doesn't defend quickly enough and Jung has managed to lock this one up! Can Vivian escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Jung on a fantastic submission victory.
