PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lamont Sanford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Darren Lamb (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanford comes to the cage accompanied by Stevie Wonder - Superstition. Lamb comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Tea for the Tillerman kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darren Lamb!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanford looks to land a body kick but Lamb moved away.

Let's hope that Lamb has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Darren Lamb showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Sanford does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Sanford tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Sanford creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Sanford lands a shot to the body.

Sanford pushes Lamb back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

Lamb breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Lamb, as that shot connected.
Lamb moves into range and connects with a jab.

Sanford moves into the clinch.
Sanford tries a body shot but Lamb blocks it.
Sanford lands a shot to the body.
Sanford misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Lamb's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Sanford is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Lamb.
Sanford takes a body punch but keeps moving.

And that's the end of the fight!
Darren Lamb comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Lamb winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
