Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jesus Chan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pierre LaCour (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Jesus Chan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Pierre LaCour!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Glass and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

LaCour shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Chan really is a fat lump.
Chan wants to get back to his feet.

Chan manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. LaCour keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

LaCour manages to break the clinch.

LaCour shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Chan is trying to defend but LaCour finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Chan pushes LaCour off looking to stand but LaCour dives back in and keeps control.
Chan slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
LaCour with a flurry of punches that miss.
LaCour is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
LaCour prevents Chan from getting back to his feet.
Chan looking for a sweep. Not yet Chan, not yet.
LaCour trying to control the position from guard on top but Chan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Chan wants to sweep but no luck.
Chan looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but LaCour puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Chan gets back to full guard.
LaCour trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Chan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. LaCour doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. LaCour manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Chan has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes LaCour off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Chan shoots for a double leg takedown but LaCour sprawls well. He's pushed Chan's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

LaCour changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Chan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

LaCour wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Chan, who protects the arm well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chan is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

LaCour decides to take the fight back to the feet.
LaCour misses with a combination

and Chan counters with a single leg into guard. LaCour didn't expect that.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Chan working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
LaCour looking for a sweep. Not yet LaCour, not yet.
LaCour wants to control the position but Chan says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
LaCour looks winded!

Chan is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

LaCour makes his way to full guard. A much better position for LaCour.
LaCour keeping moving, preventing Chan from controlling successfully.
Chan landing with the ground and pound.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Nice strikes from Chan there.
Chan working over LaCour with some ground and pound. LaCour looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
LaCour keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
LaCour looks like he's trying to stand up.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Chan in particular looking to stall.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

LaCour goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
A bone on bone clash there as LaCour blocks the leg kick.

LaCour rushes Chan and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

LaCour breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

LaCour shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Chan is trying to defend but LaCour finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Chan pushes LaCour off and gets back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

LaCour closes the distance and pushes Chan back into the cage.

LaCour breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Excellent takedown into side control there by LaCour.
Jesus Chan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Chan won't allow LaCour to pass to mount.
Chan is looking to escape.
Chan slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
LaCour is breathing heavily.

Chan looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Chan is on top in guard.

LaCour wants to sweep here but Chan controlling him for the moment.

LaCour has his foot on Chan's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Chan works his way back into a safe position though.
Chan cracks LaCour with a solid left hand.
Chan postures up and lands a big shot to LaCour's brow.
Chan trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Chan landing some decent shots from guard.
Chan working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of LaCour's head.
Chan stands up over LaCour, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Chan sitting in guard here, content to control.
Chan has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Chan postures up.
Chan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
LaCour throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Chan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that LaCour can do to turn this around?
Chan is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Chan looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
LaCour is looking to get back to is feet but Chan passes into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chan works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Chan is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt LaCour will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
LaCour can't do much from the bottom here.
LaCour wants to get back to his feet.

Chan is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, LaCour has escaped the position, nice work there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!



LaCour moves into the clinch.

Chan has dropped down and is working for a takedown. LaCour is trying to keep an underhook but Chan manages to get the takedown into half guard.
LaCour is trying to escape back to his feet but Chan uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Chan content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
LaCour is looking for a sweep.

Chan prevents LaCour from escaping the position.
LaCour struggling a bit here.

Chan is trying to get an arm triangle but LaCour is defending well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Chan takes a little break here. LaCour wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
LaCour wants to get back to his feet but Chan drags him back down.
Chan landing a few strikes.
LaCour sneaks back into half guard.
LaCour takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Chan stalling.

Chan seems to be working for a kimura but LaCour defends the submission attempt.
LaCour tries to roll over but Chan keeps him under control.
Nice strikes from Chan there.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Chan is working for a submission of some sort.

Chan is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. LaCour doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Chan.
LaCour is trying to maintain the position but Chan is very close to passing his half guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jesus Chan showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Chan, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
