Gonzalez kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is El Party Me Llama. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lugz tries to clinch up
and Gonzalez cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Lugz throws a right hand that misses
and Gonzalez counters with a lovely straight right hand!
A shot to the liver by Gonzalez. Beautiful body shot.
Nice body punch from Gonzalez.
Gonzalez throws a sloppy head kick and Lugz moves out of range easily.
Gonzalez avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lugz tries to close the distance and clinch but Gonzalez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lugz is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gonzalez shoots in and bounces Lugz off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Lugz is rocked!
Gonzalez distracts Lugz with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Lugz is still in real trouble! Can Gonzalez finish him?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gonzalez chips away with some ground and pound.

Gonzalez drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Gonzalez seems to have locked his on tight now - Lugz screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Gonzalez, as he picks up the win!
