Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Malcolm Reynolds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brock The Beast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The Beast has chosen The Next Big Thing as his entrance music. Malcolm Reynolds has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Malcolm Reynolds!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brock The Beast!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The Beast swinging wildly here.
The Beast fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Reynolds takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Reynolds darts in and clinches The Beast up against the cage.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Reynolds.

The Beast jumps guard.
Reynolds postures up.
Reynolds is fighting to break The Beast's control of his arms but The Beast is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The Beast is trying to control the position but Reynolds postures up.
The Beast is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Reynolds engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The Beast is controlling Reynolds's posture.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The Beast working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Reynolds doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Reynolds manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Reynolds slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The Beast has a closed guard, preventing Reynolds from standing up.

The Beast has his foot on Reynolds's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Reynolds works his way back into a safe position though.

Reynolds is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
The Beast will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Reynolds could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

and Reynolds counters by clinching up.
Malcolm Reynolds has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brock The Beast.

The Beast drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Reynolds gets the underhooks and prevents it.

A shot in the inside from Reynolds.
Reynolds lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Reynolds has The Beast pushed against the cage.
The Beast has Reynolds pressed against the cage, preventing Reynolds from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Reynolds lands a nice shot to the body.
The Beast fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Reynolds breaks the clinch.

Reynolds drives through and clinches with The Beast against the cage.
Reynolds has The Beast pressed against the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Malcolm Reynolds dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Reynolds connects with a looping right hand.
The fight stays on the outside here - Reynolds looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Reynolds scores with a one two! The Beast had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Reynolds stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Reynolds wants it to stay on the feet.

and The Beast counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Reynolds knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for The Beast on the ground.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The Beast working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The Beast is keen to just control but Reynolds is a slippery customer.
The Beast is breathing heavily.

The Beast is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Reynolds doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time The Beast.

Reynolds is looking to improve his position.
Reynolds wants to control but The Beast is keeping busy.
Reynolds is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of The Beast's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take The Beast's back!

The Beast tries to escape but Reynolds has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
The Beast manages to reverse the position and now he's in Reynolds's guard. Nice work there by The Beast.
Brock The Beast has got the better of the ground game so far.
Reynolds wants to sweep here but The Beast controlling him for the moment.

The Beast drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. The Beast seems to have locked his on tight now - Reynolds screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for The Beast, as he picks up the win!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Brock The Beast!
An out of breath Brock The Beast thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
