Whaley kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Drowning Pool - Tear Away. Johan Axelsson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick by Whaley misses
and Axelsson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Whaley on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.

Whaley gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Axelsson working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Axelsson cracks Whaley with a solid left hand.

Whaley working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Axelsson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Axelsson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Axelsson seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Whaley is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
