The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jag uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Roman.

Jag clinches with his opponent.
Roman scores with a shoulder strike.
Roman misses with a body punch.
Jag dodges an elbow strike from Roman.
With the fighters up against the cage, Roman throws an elbow but misses.
Roman misses with some punches.
Roman lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Roman misses with an elbow over the top.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jag misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Roman.
Jag blocks an uppercut.
Roman can't get the takedown.

Roman escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jaromir Jag seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Roman breaks from the clinch.
Roman fails to land with a series of punches.

Jag clinches up against the cage.
A short right from Roman on the inside.
Jag blocks an elbow strike from Roman.

Roman lands a takedown into guard.

Jag pushes Roman off and gets back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jag clinches.
Roman throws a head punch that misses.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Jag breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jag misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Jag closes the distance and clinches.
Roman gets through Jag's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Jag tries to throw a body punch but Roman avoids it by throwing Jag back against the cage.
Roman is working Jag over against the cage.

Roman breaks from the clinch.
Roman jabs Jag to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Roman tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jag defends well and Roman ends up having to push Jag into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Jag swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Roman scores with a crisp jab that stopped Jag in his tracks.
Jag plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Roman is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Roman's corner calls for a 1-2. Roman obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Jag is rocked!
Jag throws a sloppy head kick and Roman moves out of range easily.
Roman looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Oh Jag is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Roman connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Roman thows a left - swing and a miss!

and Roman counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Jag! He's just covering up as Roman starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
