The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lermantov misses with a takedown attempt - McAdams sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

McAdams closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - McAdams lands in his opponent's guard.

McAdams changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lermantov looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

McAdams sneaks out the side door and pushes Lermantov away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Lermantov stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McAdams swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kevin McAdams overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Lermantov drops back, looking for a kneebar! McAdams looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. McAdams looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from McAdams!

Horrible takedown attempt by McAdams or perhaps it was just good defense by Lermantov, which made it look bad.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Lermantov closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into McAdams's guard.

McAdams is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
