Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Begbie Franco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Wilkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Franco comes to the cage accompanied by Born Slippy. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andy Wilkins!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wilkins blocks a head kick by Franco.
Wilkins drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Franco defends it well.
Franco throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Wilkins closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Wilkins lands in his opponent's guard.
Franco can't keep his opponent in guard - Wilkins advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Wilkins wants to control but Franco is keeping him busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wilkins is stalling here. Franco is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Wilkins seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Franco has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Franco wants to stand and escape but instead Wilkins has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Wilkins is trying to control the action in half guard but Franco is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

That was a close round but I would say that Begbie Franco will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Franco enables Wilkins to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Franco manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Franco walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Wilkins drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Franco swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Wilkins's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
