Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hong Pate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Theo Bremner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hong Pate is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Hong Pate!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Theo Bremner!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bremner decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Pate controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Pate tries to get to full guard but Bremner has control of the leg.
Pate is trying to stand.
Pate controlling the position well.
Pate moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Pate holds on and takes a little breather.
Bremner wants to control from the top but Pate keeps moving.

Bremner looking to sit in guard and control but Pate gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Pate postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Bremner is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Pate stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Bremner throws a head kick but Pate moves out of range.
Pate thows a left - swing and a miss!

Bremner shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Bremner was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bremner tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bremner has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Pate is looking for a sweep.

Bremner controls the position.
Who's going to make the next move?
Pate is looking for a sweep.
Bremner trying to control the position but Pate is working away.
Pate is looking to regain half guard here but Bremner keeps moving and retains side control.

Pate seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Bremner drops back looking for a leg! Pate is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Pate manages to kick Bremner off! Bremner jumps back into Pate's guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Pate is looking for a triangle but Bremner pushes his legs off easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Hong Pate will probably get the nod.
That's time! Pate's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Bremner drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Pate pulls Bremner in to control the position.
Bremner wants to control from the top but Pate keeps moving.
Pate looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Pate keeping full guard, as Bremner tries to pass.

Hong Pate overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Bremner throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pate works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Bremner bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Pate sneaks out the side door and pushes Bremner away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Bremner shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Pate is trying to defend but Bremner finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Bremner moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Pate.

Pate wants to control but Bremner is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Pate wants to get back to his feet.

Bremner is trying to control the action in half guard but Pate is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Pate wants to slow Bremner down by chopping away at his legs.

Bremner drives through with a takedown into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Theo Bremner will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Bremner decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Pate tries to pull guard but Bremner forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Bremner is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Pate can't fight it off and eventually Bremner manages to take the fight to the floor. Pate looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Bremner is fighting to break Pate's control of his arms but Pate is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Bremner wants to stand and escape but instead Pate has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Pate might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Pate is looking to work some ground and pound but Bremner has wrist control.

Bremner looking for a guillotine here but Pate defends easily.
Pate would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Bremner pulls Pate in to control the position.
Pate throws a big right hand that misses.
Pate cracks Bremner with a solid left hand.
Pate in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Bremner is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Pate is aware though and is defending well.
Bremner takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Pate stands up and waves to Bremner to follow him.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Pate enables Bremner to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Pate manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Pate is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Pate breaks the clinch.
Danga de danga de dang - Bremner scores with a four punch combination!
Bremner checks a leg kick.
Bremner tries to counter with a clinch but Pate shakes him off and moves away.
Pate circles away from the clinch attempt.
Pate seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Pate keeps the fight on the outside.

Bremner shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Pate is concentrating on defense, preventing Bremner from advancing position.
Pate blocking the ground and pound attempt from Bremner.
Pate keeps control of the position for the meantime.

Bremner stops Pate from getting back to his feet.
Pate moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Pate keeping moving, preventing Bremner from controlling successfully.
Bremner loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Pate bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bremner's guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Hong Pate.
I think Pate has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
