The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sadewo avoids the head kick by Blunt.

Sadewo fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Blunt, pushing him back against the ropes.

Blunt tries to close the distance and clinch but Sadewo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Sadewo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Blunt throws a low kick but it's checked well by Sadewo.

Sadewo closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Blunt did well to prevent Sadewo getting side control.
Blunt tries to kick Sadewo off in order to stand up. Sadewo Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Blunt is breathing heavily.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Blunt can do anything to dispel that myth.

Sadewo takes a little break here. Blunt wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Sadewo has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Blunt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sadewo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Blunt is pushing Sadewo's head away, looking to escape. Sadewo manages to hold on to the position though.

Blunt wants to improve his position, back to half guard but Sadewo has ideas of his own. He's got hold of Blunt's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! Blunt is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for Sadewo!

A relieved looking Rio Sadewo thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
