Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Better Dead (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergei Simenkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Dead might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Death March - Motionless in White. Sergei Simenkov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dead is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Simenkov.
Dead throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Simenkov throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Dead tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Simenkov is in Dead's guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

I was talking to Dead's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Simenkov closes the distance and clinches up with Dead, looking for a takedown. Simenkov pushes Dead against the cage but Dead circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Better Dead has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sergei Simenkov.

Better Dead seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dead lands a big head kick that sends Simenkov tumbling to the mat! Dead takes a step backwards and waves Simenkov back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Dead knocks out Simenkov with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Dead before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Dead picks up the big W with a huge KO!

Better Dead really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Spartan Nutrition 160Q with Proof logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
