Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Terrence Funk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gray Cuida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gray Cuida will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Terrence Funk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gray Cuida!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Funk loads up on a big right hand but Cuida slips the punch.
Funk throws a body shot but no joy.
A little jabbing left from Cuida on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Funk doesn't manage to clinch there - Cuida circles away.
Cuida moves out of range of the strikes.
Cuida wants to clinch but Funk slips to the side
and Funk counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Cuida pushes Funk off and scrambles back to his feet.
Funk throws an off balance right hand
and Cuida cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Funk drives through and clinches with Cuida against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Funk gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Funk is in close to Cuida's body, working some short punches and elbows.
We've been hearing good reports from Funk's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Cuida keeping moving, preventing Funk from controlling successfully.
Funk postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Funk throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Cuida is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Cuida throws a strike but Funk avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Funk preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Funk controls Cuida momentarily but Cuida frees himself.
Cuida throws a strike but Funk rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cuida is adopting a defensive guard.
Funk with a flurry of punches that miss.
Funk throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Cuida works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Cuida keeping moving, preventing Funk from controlling successfully.
Funk working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Funk accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Funk lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Funk makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Funk is in close to Cuida's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Funk is looking to work some ground and pound but Cuida has wrist control.

Funk with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Funk loads up on a big left hand. Cuida felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Funk looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Cuida can't hide his disappointment, as Funk celebrates the victory.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Terrence Funk!
