Victorio kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Guano Apes - Open your eyes. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 54 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bastian Nokia!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Victorio throws a quick inside leg kick.

Victorio shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Victorio connects with a nice short shot to Nokia's temple.
Victorio stops Nokia from getting back to his feet.
Victorio controlling the action here.
Nokia really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Victorio. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Victorio frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Victorio has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Nokia in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.

Victorio goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Nokia turns into him and now he's in Victorio's guard.
Nokia is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Victorio pulls Nokia in close to his closed guard and prevents Nokia from doing any damage or advancing position.

Victorio looking for a sweep. Not yet Victorio, not yet.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Victorio is on top in guard.

Victorio stays in close to Nokia's body and controls the position.
Victorio slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Victorio goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Nokia rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Victorio's guard! Nice work there by Nokia!
Victorio wants to sweep but no luck.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Victorio is working hard here to advance position.

Victorio is adopting a defensive guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Victorio looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Victorio pulls Nokia in close to prevent any damage.
Nokia wants to control from the top but Victorio keeps moving.

Victorio feints and as Nokia raises his hands in defense, Victorio changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Nokia is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Victorio dives into side control.

Nokia wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Victorio controls the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Victorio looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Victorio tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Nokia tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.

Nokia defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Victorio's arms.

Victorio looking to break Nokia's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Nokia remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Victorio will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Victorio is cranking Nokia's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Nokia! He's tightened the choke and Nokia is tapping out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Jonny Victorio!
